She is the foster daughter of the beloved, "Daddy", an honourable Member of the Legislative Assembly in the Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha, sworn to uphold the Constitution of the Sovereign Democratic Secular Socialist Republic of India - Arun Gulab Gawli.
Apart from being an honourable MLA, Mr Gawli has made tremendous contributions to the underworld industry in Mumbai. For many years in the 80s and 90s he was deeply respected by Shri Balasaheb Thackeray for his operational level contributions to the Shiv Sena. He then became a very successful businessman in the loan recovery, liability elimination and asset withholding industries. The short-sighted and unjust police and government of India, jealous of his success attached a number of his interests and even jailed him for almost a decade.
This humble man rose from the very slummy slums of Dagdi Chawl, ran his business from here, stayed there through all successes, returned to the Chawl after his imprisonment and continues to stay there!! He is extremely shy and not keen to meet his old business associates.
As is the law of nature, where good always wins over evil, Mr. Gawli was not convicted of the baseless charges. However, his incarceration was enough to scare away participants of the hit show 'Cinestars Ki Khoj' and steer clear of the very beautiful Minal.
