A Please to all Indians- Tell us about your 'only in india' experiences

{[['']]}
Dear Visitor,

In our constant endeavour to bore you through our self consumed idea of humour and cynicism, we fear we may have driven you away from our blog..and made you read all that we believe is whats crap about India and even whats edible enough to digest in that same mix...

To 'entice' you back and make you a regular visitor / contributor we endeavour to create the biggest list of 'only in india / us indians '

PLEASE NOTE:
It can be absolutely anything , however as far as possible , please do try and pick up something that you have personally encountered or have seen happen. It could be something like a govt policy decision (thats good for a change) , how a domestic help who went international after a stock market scam (wow..that would be cool). ALSO, PLEASE DO NOT CONTRIBUTE SOMETHING from any cheesy fwd

One year hence we shall make a one comprehensive blog and give credit to each one of you and who knows submit a 'memorandum' to the PM of India.i know you must be wondering why a memorandum , my point being that what the hell do these delegations achieve anyways meeting the PM and a whole lot of other important people. Well, we want to 'not achieve' what they are 'not achieveing'.

To aid this process . please pass on this site address to anyone who you think can contribute or for that matter may even HATE it with all their might. We LOVE CONFLICT!!!!!!!!!!

MY FIRST CONTRIBUTION

You may all know the following 'National XYZs' about India such as

National Flag
National Anthem
National Emblem
National Song
National Animal
National Bird
National Flower
National Languages

BUT

Did you know that India had a National Calendar???????

Heres the explanation

The national calendar based on the Saka Era with Chaitra as its first month and a normal year of 365 days was adopted from 22 March 1957 along with the Gregorian calendar for the following official purposes: (i) Gazette of India, (ii) news broadcast by All India Radio, (iii) calendars issued by the Government of India and (iv) Government communications addressed to the members of the public.

Dates of the national calendar have a permanent correspondence with dates of the Gregorian calendar : 1 Chaitra falling on 22 March normally and on 21 March in leap year.

BUT THE KILLER IS...

I got this information from the official website of ...the PM Of India

Wonders (/Blunders) never cease...

p.s. I wonder if the good doctor knows about this???
